교육자 교육 프로그램에 지구헌장 부분이
포함되었습니다.
UNESCO는
"지속가능한 미래를 위한 가르침과 배움"이라는
제목의 멀티미디어 교육자 교육 프로그램을
만들어 왔습니다. 그곳에 지구헌장도 포함이
되었지요. 이 프로그램은 우선 시범적으로
운영되며, 평가과정이 끝나면 다양한 언어로
무료 보급될 예정입니다.
이것은
가치와 행동 그리고 삶의 방식을 변화시키는
것과 함께 지속가능한 미래에 필요한 기술과
지식을 개발하기 위한 통합적인 학제간 접근을
강조하는 새로운 비전에 그 뿌리를 두고
있습니다.
이
프로그램에서 지구헌장은 "지속가능한 발전
(Sustainable Development)"의 개념과 이것을
실천으로 옮기기 위한 세계적인 노력으로
소개되고 있습니다.

EARTH CHARTER PART OF UNESCO TEACHER
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
UNESCO has developed a multimedia teacher education
programme entitled "Teaching and Learning for a Sustainable
Future" as part of its program "Educating for a Sustainable
Future".
The pilot version of the programme, is available online at
http://www.unesco.org/education/tlsf
Once an evaluation of the pilot version is completed, the programme will
be finalized, translated into several languages, and made available free
of charge by UNESCO on the web and as a CD-ROM.
The UNESCO programme includes a substantial section on the Earth Charter,
and also suggests ways to be involved in the Earth Charter process. The
rest of the programme provides a valuable overview for teachers of the
holistic and interdisciplinary concept of sustainability, its implications
for teaching across the
curriculum, its emphasis on values and ethics, and teaching strategies and
methods that can be used for such subjects.
This educational initiative is rooted in "a new vision of education
which emphasizes a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to developing the
knowledge and skills needed for
a sustainable future as well as changes in values, behavior, and
lifestyles.
